Job Introduction
We are presently looking for a Podiatrist who would be interested in holding Clinics at HMP Norwich.

We are offering 2 afternoons a month which run from 14.00 until The payment for this Clinic would be £400.00 per session.


The sessions are currently held on Thursdays (2 a month), but this is negotiable depending on our clinic room availability.

Patients would be referred/triaged by healthcare professionals and would target patients with:

  • self-neglect
- substance misuse problems
- learning difficulties
- diabetes
- obesity
- peripheral vascular, neurological, rheumatological and other joint problems.

Sessions currently run as 20 minutes per patient appointment (3 patients in one hour).

Essential

  • Degree in Podiatry
  • HCPC registration
  • Good organisational skills
  • Able to work well in a team and be a flexible adaptable clinician
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritise workload
  • Basic IT skills
  • Good verbal communication skills often relaying information to patients.
  • Have a responsible, professional, and caring attitude.
  • Must hold a current driving license and/or be able to travel as you will be working in various locations, including patients' homes.

Desirable

  • Experience working in NHS healthcare setting
  • Experience of a clinical notes systems (eg. EMIS).
  • Evidence of being innovative and pro
- active and motivated person

  • To be able to work on own initiative
  • To problem solve at source
  • To resolve patients concerns/ issues at source
  • To be a flexible and adaptable clinician
  • Diabetic foot module training or similar experience.
