The Age UK brand is continually evolving, and we are recruiting for a
Junior Brand Designer to make the Age UK brand come alive to both internal and external audiences, helping to carry the brand forward in its evolution.


This exciting opportunity will support the Senior Brand Designer and the Senior Brand Identity Manager by creating, publishing and managing Age UK's brand and campaign assets ensuring overall creativity, consistency and compliance.

As
Junior Brand Designer, you'll be diligent, conscientious, and with a keen and creative eye for detail.

You will be given creative freedom within the projects you work on as part of the team and have the initiative to lead on projects and tasks without continuous direction; whilst adhering to Age UK's brand guidelines.

You must have experience across a variety of print and digital design practices.

This is a hybrid opportunity, a blend of homebased and office working. Our linked office for this role is in London and you would be expected to attend the office at least one day a month.

Must haves:

  • Strong experience in all aspects of print and digital design.
  • Exceptional creative, layout and typographic ability.
  • Ability to work within brand guidelines to develop creative solutions that exceed industry standards.
  • Track record of producing superb design solutions online, offline demonstrable through a portfolio of work.
  • Keen attention to detail and a passion for high standards of design and implementation.
  • Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly PhotoShop, Illustrator and InDesign.
  • Teamplayer, keen to inspire colleagues.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritise and manage a fastmoving workload to deliver projects on time and on brief.
  • Graphic design degree level qualified or above.

Great to haves:

  • Experience of working with external creative agencies.
  • Experience of creating prepress print tasks and liaising with printers.
  • Experience of developing retail communications would be a benefit but is not essential.
  • Passion to join one of the UK's leading charities helping to make a difference in the lives of older people.
