Are you an experienced RVN looking for that elusive role? – ready to leave your current shelter? – got a nose for sniffing out the one where you are valued, supported, challenged, and above all part of a compassionate, skilled, and positive team?
Then open up your ears as we may have the role for you
Here at our practice, we'd love to adopt you and you'd be a great fit for our pack if you have a few years' experience under your collar. If you're cooperative, supportive, a fun team player and able to bring your own unique blend of skills and experience then you could be the breed we're looking for.
About you:
We are seeking a confident RVN, who is capable and enthusiastic in all nursing skills. A real team player that will contribute positively and proactively to our highly valued team.
About the role:
The role involves a variety of duties, including monitoring of anaesthetics, performing radiographs, taking blood pressures, cytology, inpatient care and keeping PSS standards.
We pride ourselves on the numerous nurse clinics we can offer, and we encourage interests and ideas to keep moving the practice forward. We actively encourage further learning and CPD.
Hours:
Full-time – 37.5 – 40 hours per week.
1 in 9 Saturday morning rota where you get the time back.
No out-of-hours required as this is provided by our neighbouring hospital.
About us:
We have been caring for the pets of Cardiff since 1997 and we pride ourselves on providing the highest standards of care – always putting our patients and clients first.
We have 2 small animal branches at Pentwyn and Llanishen which are just 3 miles apart, but in two very different settings.
Our fantastic and skilled team consists of 8 FTE vets, 10 RVN's, 3 SVN's and 3 ANA's
The practice is well equipped providing standard services and consultations to more complex treatments and surgeries if and when required. We have all the things we need: x-rays, ultrasound, in house blood machines, dental x-rays, vet and nurse certificate holders in surgery and medicine.
The Area:
Cardiff, our beautiful capital, is a great place to live and work with all the advantages of city life – what makes it so special is it's mix of old and new culture, a vibrant food scene and major events but also easy access to the scenic valleys and beautiful coastline of South Wales.
Cardiff is a highly accessible city with its very own airport; high-speed rail links from London and the M4 motorway passes the north of the city.
Want some inside information? – here's what our team think about working here...
Everyone's very supportive and encouraging of your interests within the industry. Good work and home balance options."
"I feel like the nurses are highly trusted/respected here, have a large input in animal welfare and are the heart to the practice."
