One of London's most iconic 5 Star heritage hotels are seeking a Floor Housekeeper with extremely high standards that enjoys working in a luxury environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Be courteous to all hotel guests and colleagues in line with the high standards of the hotel
  • Develop a team spirit in the department, to ensure happiness and longevity of the team
  • Achieve best performance from the team, keeping them motivated by setting exemplary standards
  • Ensure presentation and grooming is immaculate and within the guidelines given
  • Liaise with Maintenance Department to ensure that all assigned areas are fully maintained
  • Liaise with Reception daily, ensuring all requirements are carried out in relation to the department
  • Ensure that all departure rooms are returned to Reception for letting as soon as possible
  • Ensure that all guest requests are dealt with in a speedy and efficient manner.
  • Ensure that all in room dining trolleys and trays are removed from rooms and corridors and at no time linen or rubbish to be left in corridor areas
  • Assign rooms and delegate jobs to room attendants on a daily basis, supervise all standards of cleaning and servicing
  • Ensure the flow of communication between Room Attendant, House porter, Supervisors and Butlers
  • Check and supervise the changing of bedspreads, valances, curtains, showercurtains as required, also carpets and soft furnishings for shampooing
  • Check and control all stock levels of linen and supplies in assigned areas., assist in monthly inventories
  • Ensure COSHH training carried out within the department and accurate records are kept
  • Report any health and safety hazards that may occur in guest and staff areas to the Executive Housekeeper or Security.
  • Ensure that all contractors/visitors/employees not issued with ID Cards report to the security control room before they commence any work within the hotel
  • Attend departmental meetings and training sessions as and when requested

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a 4 or 5 star hotel
  • Outstanding customer service and communication skills
  • The ability and flexibility to work shifts is essential
