Our team of over 100 Temporary Works engineers boasts vast experience in designing and checking Temporary Works for projects of all scales and across various industries.

Our goal is to ensure that Kier is equipped with the technical expertise needed to fulfill its vision and bolster the Group's competitive edge and reputation.


Location: Liverpool

Business Area: Transportation, Kier Professional Services (KPS)
Contract: Full Time, Permanent

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with project teams to provide a wide range of civil and structural services in both Temporary and Permanent Works within Kier.
  • Contribute to the delivery of safe and feasible solutions for complex services in both temporary and permanent states.

Your day-to-day:

  • Temporary Works design and checking, above and below ground, in all materials, integrated with Permanent Works design when necessary.
  • Offer alternative solutions and value engineering to enhance Kier's reputation.
  • Support tender stage and bid winning processes, focusing on buildability, efficiency, and innovation.
  • Assess and review 3rd party designs to ensure compliance with requirements.
  • Provide alternative solutions and value engineering to strengthen Kier's competitive standing.
  • Supervise and guide junior KPS staff.

Requirements:

  • Chartered Engineer status or working towards it.
  • Interest in or experience with Temporary Works Design.
  • Full UK driving license.
