This is an exciting opportunity to work with Oil Spill Response Limited, a regulated cargo agent who respond at short notice to oil spills across the globe helping to keep the planet greener and more sustainable.
The work is varied and involves working on various pieces of both small and large equipment including diesel engines, hydraulics as well as getting involved a vast array of small projects/opportunities and offers the perfect environment to develop your engineeringexpertise working with a great team.

Main Duties include:
- Preventative Maintenance of the Oil Spill Response/client equipment
- Respond to reactive calls
- Timely completion of all required paperwork including work record sheets, Risk Assessments, Method Statements, Permits to Work and accurate timesheets
- To ensure the company and client Health and Safety policies are adhered to.
- Completion of scheduled maintenance
- Inspection and testing / running of equipment
- Identification of defects, fault finding and resolution
- Conducting the rehabilitation of used equipment
- Returning equipment into a response ready state
To be successful in the role, you will need:
- City and Guilds, equivalent in Mechanical fitting, assembly
- Forklift licence is desirable, although training can be provided
- An understanding of/a desire to learn mechanical system maintenance, to support the work undertaken on all client equipment.
- Mechanical fitter experience, working with, changing hydraulic hoses working on a wide variety of client equipment.
- CAA clearance is a requirement of this role due to the nature of the business and the equipment you will be working on often deployed at short notice around the world following any oil spill that may occur. We will help you attain this clearance if required
- Flexibility to support colleagues in Front of House duties, also Security as/when necessary
- To be a team player who works well with others, although you'll also need to have the ability to work alone with little supervision when required
