This role is perfect for someone seeking a new challenge, aiming to broaden their employment law expertise, build their practice, and contribute to business development efforts.
About You
- The ideal candidate will independently manage cases assigned by the partners and is encouraged to develop their own client base.
- They will also delegate tasks to the junior lawyers and supervise their work effectively.
The Role
- The chosen candidate will play a pivotal role in the London Employment team, known for its pragmatic, commercial, and forward-thinking approach.
- Although the team operates independently, it collaborates closely with the Corporate, Restructuring & Insolvency, Intellectual Property, and Corporate Immigration teams.
Skills and Attributes:
- 5+ years PQE.
- Comprehensive experience in employment law, including handling unfair dismissal, discrimination, whistle-blowing claims, TUPE, Employment Tribunal and High Court litigation (including insolvency situations), redundancy, general advisory, and senior executive exits (desired but not essential).
- Capable of managing their own caseload.
- Skilled at building and maintaining client relationships.
- Personable, team-oriented, and commercially minded.
- Highly motivated and proactive.
- Strong interest in business development, including presenting at conferences and seminars.
- Ability to assist partners and supervise junior team members effectively.
- Passionate about mentoring and developing junior lawyers.
