What you do :

• Plan all operations and the production team's training while excelling in the kitchen.
• Oversee the chopping, seasoning, and cooking of fish, vegetables, meats, salads, soups, and other dishes.
• Plan and price the menu, place supply orders, and maintain accounts and records.
• Assist the culinary crew in the range to instruct, mentor, and foster growth.
• Keep an eye on sanitary procedures to make sure staff members adhere to rules and guidelines.
• Prepare, create, and display food with the utmost care.

What you bring :

• To keep things ticking along, you'll bring your knowledge of health and safety and food hygiene, your level 2 NVQ chef qualification (or equivalent) and contagious smile
• It would be great if you had experience of working in a school environment but, don't worry if not, as we would still love to hear from you
• Sodexo embeds a strong Safety culture in everything we do. There will be company procedures to follow so good knowledge of HACCP, COSHH procedures and Food Hygiene Regulation is vital.

• £12.50 per hour
• 37.5 hours per week
• Monday to Friday
• Meal provided on shift
• Term Time Only

Equated pay (sometimes known as spread-over pay) is a method of paying you for your contracted hours, working weeks and holiday pay spread over 12 months instead of just receiving pay during the months that you work and none during the school closures/non-working weeks. This means that you get paid equal amounts of pay every month. Further information will be supplied at interview stage.
