This is a great and fun job (it is a music school after all) with a brilliant working atmosphere.

You will be supporting the music tutors and the owners of the business.

The site is very central in Haddington, East Lothian.

If you live in East Lothian, it is certainly very appealing as you dont then have to go all the way to Edinburgh for work.

The evening working hours will be shared between all of the staff on a rotation keeping the same weekly hours.

  • You will note the attendance of the pupils and follow the correct procedures for the businesss attendance and cancellation policy.
  • You will be responsible for the set up of the rooms for the lessons and for band rehearsals.
  • At the end of the day, there will be a small amount of light cleaning, just to spruce the rooms up. We want the rooms onsite at the music studio to look their best for the pupils and the tutors and for all admin team members too
  • There is a proprietary software system, which the music school uses to run the business training will be provided on this and it is key to the successful running of the daytoday life at the school.
  • At this school, Apple Macs are used for administrators.

  • Be answering the phone in a professional manner.
  • Be dealing with potential clients walking in, so again, taking those inquiry details and passing them on to the relevant parties internally. The school prides itself on keeping all information they give out to parents and pupils accurate so as to keep the daily running of the school as smooth as possible.
  • Managing and helping to organise the endofterm concerts and a summer camp, along with onceamonth visits to a local retirement home. This involves creating a plan and working with a budget to book venues, liaising with the business owner and seeing this through to the completion.
  • As you will be front of
- the
- business and very visible to our clients pupils, their parents/guardians and the tutors, it is important that you present the school as a welcoming, professional and appealing place to be and to be involved with, at the heart of the local community.

  • There is invoicing to do for all 160 pupils at present, so you may be asked to check that the invoices are correct and to ensure that the fees due are paid on time you would also be asked to follow up on those whose fees are late.
