About the role

At ICIS we are looking for a passionate and talented hydrogen market analyst to join our team of content creators, with a specific focus on policy and regulation in the burgeoning hydrogen sector.

As Hydrogen Policy and Regulation Analyst at ICIS you will track and report on policy and regulatory developments across Europe, producing timely and informative summaries for both internal and external use.

As the low-carbon energy transition gathers pace, sustainable fuel markets are emerging. In these emerging markets, policy and regulation underpins the economic case for investment. There is demand from participants across the energy markets for insightful, accurate coverage of hydrogen policy and regulation to underpin investment decisions.

Reporting into the Global Hydrogen Editor, you will help create and update a comprehensive policy and regulation database while presenting your findings to our hydrogen team. You will engage with market participants, building both your professional profile and that of ICIS in the growing hydrogen space.

You will be comfortable representing ICIS publicly, visiting our customers and your contacts and discussing the markets, while occasionally speaking at and even chairing industry events.

About the Team

As part of a dynamic, international team, you will be trained to be your best, to learn and to grow. Working alongside both editors and analysts, a track record of producing original, accurate and high-quality content to deadline.

Responsibilities:

Overseeing coverage of hydrogen policy and regulation in markets across Europe Ensuring hydrogen market news and analysis is insightful and compelling, presented using leading infographic tools. Inputting the results of your work into forecasts and models Engaging directly with ICIS customers Building and nurturing an international network of industry contacts

Requirements

Have excellent communication skills and the ability to convey information clearly to senior stakeholders. Knowledge of the hydrogen market including EU, US and UK energy transition policy and regulation Possess attention for detail, well-organised and able to meet deadlines and work to a high standard on multiple assignments. A passionate, curious, high-performing, accountable self-starter who can work independently and takes initiative. Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. A track-record as a market analyst or equivalent role is desirable.
