Main duties of the job

To implement behavioural interventions. To effectively implement appropriate assessment and intervention methods. To produce PBS reports in accordance with good practice guidance. To exercise autonomous professional responsibility for the assessment and intervention with clients working alongside other professionals in the multidisciplinary team. To maintain good working relationships with other members of the multidisciplinary team and ensure effective communication through good verbal communication skills and the production of professional reports. To attend multi-disciplinary meetings. To be involved, as appropriate, in the assessment of clients being referred. Job responsibilities

Role Purpose:

Using theclinical frameworks of Applied Behavioural Analysis, Positive BehaviouralSupport and Psychologically informed interventions the Behaviour/Psychology/MentalHealth Support Worker will work within a multidisciplinary framework, supportingchildren and young people within a behavioural and psychological service inresidential, educational and vocational settings to children, young people andtheir families with complex needs

Duties and responsibilities:

1. To implementbehavioural and psychologicalinterventions as recommended by Clinical Lead . To effectively implementappropriate assessment and intervention methods.

2. To exerciseassessment and intervention with clients working alongside other professionalsin the multidisciplinary team under the guidance of case Leads and ClinicalLeads.

3. To maintain goodworking relationships with other members of the multidisciplinary team andensure effective communication through good verbal communication skills and recordkeeping

4. To attendmulti-disciplinary meetings where necessary.

5. To be involved,as appropriate, in the assessment of clients being referred.

6. To sharebehavioural/psychological advice, guidance and consultation to families,support staff and other professionals under the guidance of Case Leads andClinical Leads.

12. To contributeto the maintenance of the highest professional standards of practice, throughactive participation in internal and external CPD training and developmentprogrammes.

13. To maintain thehighest standards of clinical record keeping including electronic data entryand recording, report writing and the responsible exercise of professionalself-governance in accordance with professional codes of practice.
