About the Pub


The Miners Arms is an attractive traditional rendered building in the small village of Medomsley which is approximately two miles northeast of Consett in County Durham.

The pub is a comfortable traditional Country Inn which has a good reputation for food with plenty of drinks trade coming from the surrounding community.

The atmosphere is light and airy with the addition of lovely, exposed beams and traditional décor with a dedicated dining area seating up to 40 covers.

The bar is L-shaped and well-furnished with alcoves and bench seating. The Miners also boasts a fully equipped commercial kitchen that is capable of handling the demands of this business.

The external trading area consists of patio areas with benches and tables to the front and rear with a small external children's play area that can be located to the back of the property.

Regional Manager's Thoughts

I am looking for an enthusiastic caterer with the high retail standards required to develop this site further.

A good traditional food offer and increased community events will build upon this established pub and push it to its full potential.

Medomsley is a village in County Durham, England, about two miles northeast of the centre of Consett. The village has views of the Pennines and the surrounding countryside for miles around. It is a commuter village with great access to the Newcastle Metro Centre and the Northumberland Dales.
