SEND Learning Support Assistant

Then EdEx have the perfect role for you as a SEND Learning Support Assistant in an Outstanding Primary School in Harrow Within this role, you will be supporting multiple pupils across the school to ensure the curriculum is accessible to all pupils. September 2024 start, full academic year

As a SEND Learning Support Assistant, you will be working alongside the knowledgeable SENCO, SLT and Teachers to support students both academically, socially and pastorally. You will be working with SEND pupils (ASD, ADHD, SP&L etc) in both 1:1 and group settings both inside and outside the classroom.

This role is perfect for those looking to gain valuable firsthand experience towards their future career aspirations (Educational Psychologist, Therapist, Counsellor, Social Worker, Youth Worker etc)

SEND Learning Support Assistant- JOB SPEC

  • SEND Learning Support Assistant
  • Working with the lead class teacher
  • Leading 1:1 and group intervention sessions with pupils
  • Assisting pupils with SEND needs (ASD, ADHD, SP&L etc)
  • Leasing with SLT, SENCO and Teachers on pupil performance and devising action plans
  • September Full academic year
  • Term time only, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm, Full-time position
  • £105 - £110 per day - Term time only
  • Located in Harrow

SEND Learning Support Assistant- SCHOOL SPEC

  • Empowering, whole child focused Primary School
  • Fantastic SEN provisions in place such as nature room
  • Welcoming staff, SENCO and SLT
  • Continuous training through the position
  • Fantastic CPD opportunities, such as Teacher Training and scope to extend permanently

SEND Learning Support Assistant- APPLICANT SPEC

  • Degree in Psychology or related from a reputable University
  • Previous experience working with children is desirable
  • Be a patient, caring and outgoing person who can work well in a team
  • Experience working with varying SEN needs (ASD, ADHD, SP&L etc)
  • Have a passion for supporting young people both socially and academically
