There are various shifts avaiable which will be between the hours of 7:00am-8:00pm

This is a
Band 2 position paying
£ £20.95 per hour. (Rate includes enhancement for weekend and nights which are payable after 8:00pm)

Responsibilities will include:

  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness in line with agreed procedures which aim to reduce the risk of acquired infections.
  • Abide by the strict 'National Colour Coding System' for cleaning within a healthcare environment.
  • Cooperate when new methods of working are introduced with the aim of improving work schedules and frequencies.
  • Be responsible for providing a patient beverage service throughout the day, and to assist nursing staff with patient meal services at lunch and supper as necessary.
  • Empty and remove all clinical, domestic, and recyclable waste ensuring waste segregation and identification procedures are followed at all times.
  • Take responsibility for the safe storage of all cleaning products and materials, ensuring hazardous chemicals are locked safely within cleaning trollies and resource cupboards.
Other duties may apply

Skills required:

  • Cleaning experience (essential)
  • Knowledge of COSHH (desirable, not essential)
  • Knowledge of colour coding system (desirable, not essential)
  • Both written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to follow instructions and procedures
  • Pay attention to detail
  • Work as part of a team
  • Take responsibility for their own work.
  • Be able to work unsupervised.
