We are excited to be working with a globally renowned name in the field of Biological Science. A new and exciting opportunity for a Trainee Mechanical Engineering Technician, ideally suited for an individual who is keen to begin a career in mechanical engineering or has recent experience in this role.
Role Overview: Your duties as the Mechanical Engineering Technician role are to support the mechanical requirements across the site, including all scheduled maintenance, form plant, plumbing and ancillary services.Role Responsibilities:
- Ensure plant, equipment and rooms are working efficiently and in order.
- Work closely with the maintenance departments across the site.
- Undertake planned tasks to adhere to relevant regulations and legislation for safe working environments.
Required Skills:
- Knowledge of mechanical systems
- Willingness to train for a Level 2 or 3 engineering qualification (if not held already)
- Experience in plant/plumbing/air handling unit (HVAC)
- Educated in GCSE Grades A-C or equivalent in English or Maths.
- Electrical knowledge, plumbing, air con, heating, industrial technician
- Engineering qualification (NVQ 2,3 or equivalent)
- Engineering apprenticeship.
- Limited or recent work in a similar environment Mechanical/Engineering/maintenance, water treatments
- Desire to further education and training in NVQ Mechanical/Engineering Technician
- Full security checks will be required
