£30,000 to start, rising to £35,000 after 6 months upon successful completion of duties and integration into the business. Initial rate assumes relevant experience is present upon engagement.

Based on 40 hours, 5 days over 7

Tips/Tronc Included:
Shared with other staff, paid and taxed through wages, average has been £100/month

Live-in Available: Initially hotel room for up to 2 months, no charge. Part-furnished 1-bed accommodation is available at no charge following re-decorating and carpeting.

Tillmouth Park, located in the picturesque Cornhill-on-Tweed, Northumberland, is seeking a skilled Head/Exec Housekeeper to lead our housekeeping team and uphold the high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction that define our establishment.


Key Responsibilities:

As a Head/Exec Housekeeper at Tillmouth Park, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring the cleanliness and tidiness of all areas in accordance with the hotel's standards and requirements.
  • Leading and motivating a team of cleaners and room attendants to maintain exceptional cleanliness and guest comfort.
  • Preparing work schedules and assigning tasks to team members, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
  • Conducting thorough inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure they meet the required housekeeping standards.
  • Identifying and recording any faults, damages, or maintenance needs, and promptly reporting them for resolution.
  • Collaborating with maintenance and other relevant departments to coordinate repairs and improvements.
  • Monitoring and replenishing cleaning supplies, ensuring an uninterrupted flow of essential items.
  • Upholding health and safety regulations and hotel policies, and training staff on best practices.
  • Contributing to the overall guest experience by maintaining a clean and inviting atmosphere.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience in a housekeeping or supervisory role, preferably within the hospitality industry.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
  • Leadership skills to effectively manage and inspire a team.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Good communication skills to liaise with staff and management.
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations and procedures.
  • Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including weekends and holidays.
  • A positive attitude and a willingness to contribute to a welcoming guest experience.
