The renowned Hospital of St John & St Elizabeth is currently seeking a Band 5 Registered Childrens Nurse to join our dedicated Paediatrics team. Our team provides expert knowledge and top-notch services across the hospital, including Outpatients and our Paediatrics department.

If you have experience working in Paediatrics within a hospital setting, whether in Outpatients, Childrens Emergency, or in a similar Urgent Care environment, then you might be the perfect fit for us. We are looking for someone who is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care across a wide range of specialties, within our friendly and flexible team.

In this role, your main responsibilities will include delivering high-quality nursing care, supporting your team members to adhere to best practices for all patients and visitors, and following hospital and departmental policies. Ensuring the safety of yourself, colleagues, patients, and visitors in the Emergency Department is paramount.

You'll be part of a fast-paced and innovative environment at Band 5 level, where you will encounter a diverse patient population. From attending to primary care cases in our Urgent Care Centre to handling more complex situations, this role offers you the chance to enhance your skills and contribute to the growth and improvement of our services.

Do You Have What It Takes for this Paediatric Band 6 Role?

  • Active NMC Childrens nursing registration
  • Minimum of 3 years of post-registration experience in nursing, particularly in Outpatients and the Emergency Department
  • Strong post-registration skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Skilled in making confident decisions
