We are looking for a Flexographic Printer to join the team

The role is required to operate on a full weekly rotating shift system working:

-
6am - 2pm:

-
2pm - 10pm:

-
10pm - 6am

Job Purpose

  • To ensure that at all times we achieve the best possible changeover time in order to ensure the press is passed off and running in the shortest available time.
  • To achieve KPIs and quality levels set by the Print Manager.
  • Ensure day to day running of print press is fully utilised and optimised.

Principle Accountabilities_**:
_

  • Ensure machinery runs at maximum output, bearing in mind quality and Health and Safety.
  • Monitor and control print quality
  • Follow SOPs at all times ensuring that defective quality material does not reach the customer
  • Working with and contributing to Continuous improvement activity across site
  • Utilise the Print Assistant to the best of your ability to maximise uptime and minimise downtime.
  • Ensure machine is left in a safe manner for your shift opposite and any issues communicated clearly.
  • Clearly detail all paperwork to ensure traceability of product.
  • Observe and abide by laid out Health and Safety rules.
  • Observe and abide by Hygiene rules (BRC Accreditation)
  • Run staggered meal breaks, to maximise production.
  • Ensure Print Assistant is capable of supervising on machine to cover breaks.
  • Issue Print Assistant with plan to allow next job to be prepared.

  • Machine output, utilisation, efficiency, safety
  • Achievement of the production plan (%)
  • Material Utilisation (% process scrap)
  • Health, Safety, Hygiene & Environment.

Flexibility:

  • The jobholder may be required at any time to perform any reasonable task outside the general provision of this job description in the pursuance of good company practice or need.
  • At certain times the company may require the individual to work a reasonable amount of overtime to satisfy customer requirements.
  • It is envisaged that no role ever remains the same so therefore the individual may be required to undergo further training & development.

Requirements:

  • Good attendance and timekeeping
  • Experience of flexographic printing process
  • Ability to problem solve
  • Ability to work with mínimal supervision
  • Good organisational and selfmotivational skills
  • High levels of accuracy and attention to detail
