Principal Electrical Engineer

Technip Energies UKOC is seeking an accomplished Principal Electrical Engineer for major energy transition, olefins, refinery, and petrochemical projects that will be located in both the UK and international markets.

Job Scope:
  1. Prepare and check engineering procedures and standards.
  2. Oversight and supervision of:
    • Discipline basis of design and specifications.
    • Data sheets.
    • Requisitions.
    • Technical bid evaluations.
    • Detailed discipline drawings.
  3. Provide technical recommendations on the selection of equipment for Projects.
  4. Check and review vendor proposals, documentation, and drawings.
  5. Participate in project, client, and vendor meetings.
  6. Support input to Construction Sub-contract and evaluate bids.
  7. Travel in the UK and overseas, for meetings, equipment testing, and site technical support for projects.

We'd love to hear from you if you
  • Have a degree level engineering qualification with, ideally, Chartered status.
  • Have lead engineer role experience through design, procurement, and construction phases with a depth and breadth of experience in design from first principles of electrical infrastructure associated with chemical/polymer/power/industrial plant.
  • Have excellent knowledge of European, American, and International standards applicable to the chemical industry, including hazardous area requirements under DSEAR, ATEX, IEC 60079, API RP 500 & 505, and IP Part 15.
  • Can apply in-depth skills and broad knowledge to address complex problems and nonstandard engineering situations.
  • Have the capacity to solve complex problems while taking a broad perspective to identify innovative solutions.
  • Can provide motivation, leadership, mentoring, and guidance while managing time schedules to meet objectives, forecasts, and resource requirements.
