About The Role:

Permanent Contract AAH Pharmaceuticals - Delivery Drivers


You will play an essential role within the branch helping us to be the largest distributor of pharmaceutical and healthcare products to our customers.

As one of AAH's Delivery Drivers, you will quickly become a vital team member, providing a first-class delivery service to our customers to encourage them to come back to us time after time.

Efficient and safe delivery of our products will be your main priority and as such, we need people with excellent time management skills who can engage in a professional and friendly manner with all of our customers.

This is an excellent opportunity for somebody who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is keen to be given the opportunity to serve their local community.


PAY RATE:

£10.78 per hour plus benefits

CONTRACT TYPE:

Permanent contract - immediate start

SHIFTS:

Up to 48 hours per week (shift start and finish times may vary).

Full and Part Time roles available

What you'll do:

As one of our delivery drivers, you will have a busy and active role:

  • Act as the face of our business, representing AAH to our customers in a friendly and professional manner
  • Ensure our customers receive their orders on time and in excellent condition
  • Be accountable for completing all the paperwork associated with each delivery, return or collection including using electronic tracking scanners
  • Maintaining the safety and security of our stock whilst in transit
  • Working as part of team to continuously improve the way we work
You will be part of a network of branches that ensures patients, hospitals and chemists across the country receive their medical requirements every day and making a difference to people's lives - it's not just a job

About You:

To be considered for this role you will need:

  • Full current and valid Driving License held for minimum of 2 years is essential.
  • Experience of dealing with customers face to face would be advantageous.
  • Must be able to understand and adhere to all safety requirements
  • Have attention to detail.
  • An approachable person with clear communication skills.
  • Be able to work well under pressure and to be flexible.
  • Ability to manage your workload and manage time effectively.
  • A proactive team player and have the ability to work on your own initiative.
  • Truly committed to customer and patient services
  • Good numeracy and literacy skills.


Natural progression from this role is readily available and could include developing into a Transport Supervisor or Team Leader role.
