Transport Coordinator

Pertemps Staffordshire are currently looking for a Transport Coordinator for their client based in Stafford.

For this Transport Coordinator role, you will be responsible for:
  • Conduct colleague despatch and de-briefs.
  • Deal with queries in a prompt and professional manner and escalating where required to management.
  • Manage equipment defects efficiently and in line with process.
  • Ensuring SLA is always met for all equipment servicing/MOT.
  • Ensure all deliveries and collections are made on time and all delays are recorded and communicated.
  • Resource planning of core and agency colleagues in line with schedule requirements.
  • Escalate all accidents and incidents and assist with completion of necessary reports.
  • Consult with warehouse daily to understand loading position and assess any required changes to the daily schedule without jeopardising the service to stores.
  • Engaging with our 3PL's on any potential risk to store service through to resolution.
For this Transport Coordinator role, you will need:
  • Be an excellent communicator both written and oral.
  • Have a positive attitude 'Can Do Attitude' with the ability to listen and be approachable.
  • Willing to receive training and perform duties in all areas of the operation.
  • Knowledge and experience of Tachograph, driving hours and the working time.
  • Experience within a similar distribution environment is desirable but not essential.
