The successful candidate will directly report to the Engineering Manager.



ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
  • 3rd level mechanical / manufacturing or quality engineering qualification or QBE
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in quality assurance & control in an engineering manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of special processes such as welding and painting, including WPS
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing value-added quality principles and driving improvement in the quality assurance process through practical problem-solving techniques like 5Y, 8D, cause and effect analysis, etc.
  • Working knowledge of QC tools
  • Ability to showcase business acumen with a focus on managing COQ and reducing COPQ
  • Experience working with ISO standards or similar quality management systems
  • Proficiency in driving NC processes and utilizing root cause analysis and quality SOP's to minimize COPQ
  • Understanding of Kaizen, lean manufacturing, and APQP
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Capable of working within a team and independently
  • Self-motivated with a track record of successfully completing tasks efficiently for long-term continuous improvement
  • Determined with a focus on enhancing the quality function within the organization
  • Excellent interpersonal, numeracy, and literacy skills
  • Proficient in IT, especially MS Office
DESIRABLE CRITERIA:
  • Familiarity with hydraulic cylinder manufacturing processes
  • Advantageous to have experience in a precision engineering environment
  • Previous exposure to MRP/ERP systems
  • ISO Internal Auditor Qualification
  • Strong understanding of customer expectations
