As an Events Specialist, you will be managing, developing and executing a diverse range of events and PayFuture's presence on large-scale, international trade shows to the highest standard through excellent organisational skills, innovation and creativity.

You will ensure that the activity is aligned with business objectives, firm-wide policies and procedures, marketing/communications strategies and our corporate narrative.


The role is responsible for all aspects of event management and will often lead a project from start to finish.

The Events Specialist will work closely with the Sales teams to develop plans and coordinate event details and have immediate, direct exposure with senior stakeholders of our business up to C-suite.


If you have a data-driven, inquisitive mind with the proven ability to grasp and thrive in new territories, this is an opportunity to make your mark as one of the earliest recruits in the Marketing team of a FinTech organisation that is currently on an accelerated growth path.


The world is yours, as this is a global role based in London, where you will report directly to the Head of Marketing.


As our Events Specialist, you will have these main objectives:

  • Managing the organisation's participation in trade shows globally. You will work with the Sales team members to evaluate shows for relevance and return on investment and advocate these plans within the organisation
  • Building relationships with trade show organisers and related vendors. This will include overseeing the trade show design, associated graphics, guest speakers, room layouts and processing of all associated invoices.
  • Monitoring event opportunities related to other company sponsorships (local events, sporting events, etc.), determining whether to participate and coordinate our participation as appropriate
  • Ensuring all showrelated details are managed, coordinate show workers, plan for and manage show setup and teardown. You will ensure insurance, legal, and safety obligations are understood and followed
  • Forecasting expenses, setting the budget and tracking expenditures
  • Working to set metrics, including sales leads, and track results. Providing reports and analysis following events
  • Coordinate sponsorships and/or eventing events (i.e Corporate entertainment tables or boxes at sporting, music or entertainments events) in London and across the world
  • Coordinating online events, such as Webinars as needed
  • Managing and coordinate the inventory and creative collaterals

You will be a good fit if you:

  • Are degree-qualified in a digital discipline, with proven work experience of at least 5 years as a digital marketing professional
  • Hold expertise in social media management tools such as HubSpot, Buffer, Sprout Social. In addition, you must also have solid knowledge of web analytics tools like Google Analytics
  • Are experienced in implementing and optimising Google AdWords campaigns, and are highly proficient in Adobe Suite (Photoshop, InDesign or Illustrator)
  • Are familiar with web design and HTML
  • Have a proven record of successful digital B2B strategies and campaigns, with agency briefing and management experience
  • Possess excellent organisational and planning skills. You must be able to multitask and work under tight deadlines
  • Be a skilled communicator with the ability to negotiate and interact with external vendors as well as cooperate and influence cross functional across all management levels, up to Clevel
  • Are organised, commercially astute, proactive, with strong verbal & written communication skills
