Job purpose
Program and operate wire and spark erode machines within Hyspec for the manufacture of components to the specifics of customer drawings and requirements

Main duties

• Ensure that all Company quality parameters and procedures are complied with and that all products manufactured meet the required standards and specifications
• Ensure all work is carried out in a safe manner in compliance with the company's H & S Policy and procedures
• Ensure the highest standard of hygiene and housekeeping are maintained in all areas
• Program and operate all EDM machines within the area
• Carry out first line maintenance on machines and complete all related documentation
• Highlight and communicate any issues throughout the manufacturing process that is affecting the component of the machine
• Ensure with regard to HSE within your area, ensuring 5S standards are adhered too and actions from action trackers are completed
• Identify continuous improvement opportunities and ensure activities are achieved

You may be asked from time to time be asked to undertake other tasks that are considered to be relevant to your position.

Person Specification

Essential

Qualifications

• Time served apprenticeship or equivalent experience SVQ 3/NVQ 3

Experience

• Ability to use all types of measuring equipment required within a sub contract machine shop environment
• Ability to operate wire erode and spark machines

Knowledge

• Good working knowledge of Health and Safety ISO 9001
