Overview:


Energy Resourcing are currently recruiting for a HSE Advisor to join a Chemical Facility project onsite in Norwich on an 11-week contract basis.


The primary role of the HSE Advisor is to ensure all compliance with all activities of Health, Safety, Environmental, and Well-being with employees and contractors.


Responsibilities:

  • Assessment of Risk Assessments and Method Statements ensuring Company policies and procedures are implemented appropriately.
  • Development of Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
  • Regulatory Compliance Reviews.
  • Provide HSE support and expertise to the business and management teams.
  • Complete statutory equipment inspections emergency equipment, machinery, vehicles, PPE, etc.
  • Complete audits and followup actions.
  • Updating notice boards and helping increase communications methods.
  • Develop and deliver toolbox talks.
  • Personal Safety interventions e.g. advising on the implementation of PPE requirements, procedural controls, etc.


Incident investigations
  • Ensure that all Incidents and Near Misses are correctly reported and investigated and pursue closeout of actions.
  • Promoting a positive health and safety culture throughout the company and helping promote campaigns.
  • Contribute to the Company's HSE commitments in highlighting and promoting best practices.
  • Take an active role in the HSE committee and help promote the process.
  • Monitor and review regular performance through inspections and audits.
  • Complete occupational health monitoring (noise monitoring, etc.)
  • Develop training material and deliver training courses.
  • Ensure Emergency Procedures are developed and maintained, and emergency equipment is in place, inspected, and maintained.
  • To manage their time to ensure all areas of the business under their control have sufficient HSE interventions and support.
  • Any other duties as reasonably requested.

Qualifications:

  • NEBOSH General Certificate.
  • IOSH Managing Environmental Responsibilities (or Similar).
