Your role


We are looking for a Technical Specialist to work within a team of 11 to provide world class Network, Implementation and Project Support services to several key Fujitsu Customers.


You will be competent when working under pressure and have a degree of autonomy when dealing with unexpected problems, more complex escalations and will help to maintain the availability of the IT services delivered to end users.

You will also be involved in delivering medium to high complexity work packages as part of customer implementation projects. Your role will be varied and will involve the following key responsibilities.

  • Designing and Implementing Technical Changes
  • Building Software regimes and contributing technically to service development
  • Managing Network incidents to resolution
  • Maintaining Network Related Service and support documentation
You will be expected to follow established processes, and were applicable document enhancements that result in the elimination of problems as well as proactively develop the service

Key Responsibilities of the role

  • Technical Capability. Works within a team dealing with technical queries relating to several products/systems
  • Business Awareness. Has a good understanding of the customers' environment and service delivery requirements to enable the delivery of the service?
  • Process. Follows established processes/systems and recommends improvements to these as appropriate to resolve routine customer enquiries. Documents actions taken to resolve enquiries.
  • Problem Solving. Takes ownership for listening to and understanding the customer's problem. Escalates and/or gains support where necessary to resolve the problem. Uses relevant information to diagnose and to resolve or enable resolution in a timely manner.
  • Service Level. Escalates issues as necessary to deliver required service level and meet or exceed customer expectations/Service Level Agreements. Monitors performance through statistical reporting and analysis.
  • Team Working. Is a key team member, demonstrating personal leadership and initiative resolving issues and supporting other team members?
  • Professional Development. Takes responsibility for learning about current products/systems to build own technical knowledge to support business requirements

Your experience
The successful applicant will be expected to able to demonstrate their suitability for the role as follows.

Evidencing supporting multiple accounts and multiple technologies as well as embracing new cloud based and virtual networking technologies.

Evidencing the production of Technical Documents for team members and non-technical documentation to support management initiatives

The successful applicant will be expected to have the following

  • A deep understanding of Citrix NetScaler Load Balancing and access gateway technologies
  • A solid understanding of BGP and OSPP
  • Familiarity with Brocade VDX Fabric
  • Cisco CCNP and/or Juniper JNCP Accreditations
