To enhance our risk and compliance toolkit, we are looking for an EMEA Client Contracting specialist to join our central team and take the lead for contracting scaled in country and cross-border client engagements on a standardised and consistent basis.

Essential

Responsibilities:


The role is responsible for shaping the valuation business's strategy for centralising client contracting to improve standardisation, consistency, coordination, and transparency for scaled in country and cross-border assignments and for international lender and investor clients with assets in different geographies.

This is a client facing role and the role holder will report into Global R&C lead, whilst working closely with valuation colleagues, senior directors, country leaders, the EMEA business development team, JLL Legal and Finance.


Key tasks include:

Set and maintain standard EMEA client engagement letter templates, including General Terms & Conditions of business and General Principles adopted in the preparation of valuations and reports
Review and negotiate all requests varying the standard terms of engagement across EMEA, keeping a central log of all non-standard commitments
Provide guidance on cross-border assignments, helping to manage jurisdictional differences for international clients
Provide input to client pitches on contractual matters, including potential carve outs or caveats
Set and maintain standard EMEA Reliance and Non-reliance letter templates
Review and negotiate all requests varying the standard Reliance or Non-reliance letter, keeping a central log of all non-standard commitments
Agree with JLL Legal any necessary approvals for bespoke contractual terms
Contribute to best practice guidelines to ensure they are relevant and in line with current legal practice
Work closely with Finance to simplify engagement terms related to fees and align internal revenue recognition for cross-border assignments.

Experience
An experienced paralegal or professional, ideally with commercial real estate experience. Relevant property / business qualifications preferred.
Preferable to have 2 year's work experience in a real estate related position.
