Central Employment is excited to collaborate with a leading eCommerce Retail company in the search for a skilled Mid-Senior Magento Developer.
This position is entirely remote with monthly visits to the Head Office in Gateshead.
The ideal candidate should be a specialist in the field, ready to dive into various web development projects in-house, such as implementing new features, enhancements, bug fixes, and more extensive projects. You will be responsible for managing the existing e-commerce stores and contributing to long-term projects for company growth.
A minimum of 5 years of experience with Magento 2 is required. Having a Git/Bitbucket account showcasing your work would be very valuable.
Responsibilities of the Mid-Senior Magento Developer:
- Implementing new features and addressing bugs in the current e-commerce store lineup
- Managing and optimizing infrastructure for optimal performance across all stores
- Conducting routine deployments with stability as a top priority
- Performing regular code reviews
- Creating integrations between Magento, our internal systems, and third-party services Developing custom modules to meet business needs
- Estimating project scopes
- Conducting thorough testing on all websites and projects to maintain functionality and prevent new issues
- Leveraging industry knowledge to identify ways to enhance the existing store lineup
- Supporting the internal team with technical inquiries and addressing issues in the current store lineup
- Mentoring junior team members
Key skills we're seeking:
- Advanced expertise in Magento 2 Full Stack (Adobe Commerce Cloud)
- Profound knowledge of PHP, MySQL, and APIs (REST/GraphQL)
- Solid understanding of Redis, Caching (Fastly), and RabbitMQ
- Thorough understanding of website performance optimization and security best practices
- Attention to detail and capability to work autonomously
- Strong coding practices and methodologies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Enthusiasm for learning and a deep interest in web technologies
