Quality Inspectors for our prestigious client based in Bilston. This company is a busy chicken meat packing company, the role will involve checking the quality of end products, take detail information on any faults etc. The Quality Inspector is responsible for monitoring and recording daily quality inspections, and ensures all products meet the requirements and standards agreed with our customers on a day-to-day basis. Training will be given but will need a good eye for details, previous experience and qualifications within a quality inspector position is advantageous but not necessary.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for visually checking the quality of product against the customer specification.
  • To take regular samples throughout the shift ensuring all samples are labelled correctly with all required information.
  • Understand the quality standards for each customer and ensure product meets the specification.
  • Carry out weight checks, temperature checks, CCP checks, stock control, QC Hold control and quality checks for the department at the required frequency.
  • Ensure metal detector checks are being carried out correctly; any issues to be reported to Shift Supervisor & Senior Quality Technician.
  • Complete all required paperwork as required in line with internal procedures and also maintain inspection journals and daily summary logs as required.
  • Good standard of spoken & written English which will allow written instructions to be read & effectively communicated
  • Solid level of numeracy able to calculate & report on performance
  • A high level of flexibility is required and ability to problem solve in a fastpaced environment
  • Ability to work unsupervised
  • Ability to prioritise workload
  • Computer literate
Starting pay rate £9.70 hour after the first 12 weeks completed the pay rate will change to £10.15/hour
