Responsibilities:

Manage a team of writers and editors, briefing and editing all articles. Create and update an editorial content strategy that meets both audience and brand needs, using traditional publishing content formats. Maintenance of the editorial calendar, ensuring all outputs across the website, social, and newsletter are being met. Setting and monitoring editorial best practices within the team. Ensure that the quality of outputs across all channels is to an exceptional standard at all times. Ensuring that the website is maintained to reflect seasonality and current consumer trends. Maintain high industry awareness in terms of the competitive set and content excellence. Leading the team on beauty trends and making sure the site is ahead of the curve on what's going to excite an Indian beauty audience. Providing a monthly report to the client and brands on best performing content, content highlights, and competitor activity across .com and social.

Requirements:

Minimum 5-7 years' writing and digital editing experience, ideally in a newsroom environment. Have a good network of contacts in the India beauty, lifestyle, wellness industry. A keen eye for industry trends and strong editorial instinct for a good story. Experience concepting and creating content franchises. Experience sourcing and interviewing industry leaders for quotes and features. A sound understanding of (or keen willingness to learn about) SEO and KPIs based on organic traffic success. Knowledge of Google Analytics / Adwords tools. Previous experience managing a small team of editorial teams and liaising across departments. Be able to meet deadlines. Good experience working with an external client and managing communication lines. Native English speaker. Inbound marketing expertise (content marketing and SEO).
