Due to company growth, we have a new vacancy for a Contract Supervisor to join our Infrastructure team.

Role Overview:


Reporting directly to the Contract Manager, the Infrastructure Fencing Contract Supervisor will play a pivotal role in our fencing projects, ensuring the successful installation, maintenance, and removal of fencing systems.

Beyond fencing, you may also be involved in civils work, arboriculture, landscape, and ecology projects.

Your leadership and expertise will be instrumental in exceeding our client's expectations, while upholding the highest standards of safety and quality.


Location:

Primarily based in Wales and Western areas, with occasional travel to cover projects nationwide.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Contract Manager to survey sites and evaluate workscope.
  • Assist the Contract Manager in planning and organising project works.
  • Prepare and review safety critical paperwork, including WPP/RAMs, Task Briefs, and Toolbox Talks.
  • Coordinate and manage all aspects of fencing operations on construction sites.
  • Provide guidance and support to multiple Site Supervisors across the region.
  • Lead, motivate, and supervise a skilled team of fencing specialists and laborers.
  • Maintain a strong focus on safety protocols and ensure strict adherence to regulations onsite.
  • Work closely with contract managers, engineers, and clients to develop effective fencing solutions.
  • Support the procurement and maintenance of fencing materials and equipment.
  • Regularly inspect sites to ensure compliance with quality standards and project specifications.
  • Manage project timelines and budgets related to fencing operations.
  • Proactively address siterelated challenges to maintain smooth construction progress.
  • Ensure timely and accurate site reporting is submitted to the Contract Manager.
  • Act as a Person in Charge (PIC) and COSS when required.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven experience in construction site management, with a focus on fencing operations.
  • Essential Rail Competence: PTS, PIC/COSS.
  • Indepth knowledge of construction safety guidelines and best practices.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to liaise effectively with stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated organizational and problemsolving skills for managing complex projects.
  • Familiarity with constructionrelated software and technologies is advantageous.
  • Relevant certifications and qualifications in construction management or a related field (CSCS, SMSTS/SSSTS).
