Science Graduate Teaching Assistant

If you're a recent science graduate or graduating this year and looking to dip your toes into the teaching world, then we have the perfect role for you


We have partnered with several schools across Northamptonshire who are looking to add to their support team both for the rest of the academic year and the start of next in September.

Therefore, we are searching for an inspiring, motivational science graduate teaching assistant to join us and help inspire the next generation of scientists

The role of the science graduate teaching assistant is perfect for those who may have little or lots of experience working with children and really want to make a real difference to the next generation of children


For a competitive rate of £100 per day along with a dedicated consultant, Aspire people are here to support you as you begin your teaching journey.

Duties expected to be the best science graduate teaching assistant;

  • Supporting the Teacher
  • Assist the teacher in preparing materials, lesson plans, and classroom activities.
  • Classroom Management: Help maintain discipline and order within the classroom by supervising students during lessons and activities.
  • Individual Support: Provide oneonone assistance to students who require extra help with assignments or understanding concepts and run intervention groups
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and behavior.
  • Communication: Communicate regularly with the teacher, parents, and other school staff regarding student progress, concerns, and achievements.
  • Supervision: Supervise students during lunch breaks, recess, or field trips, ensuring their safety and wellbeing.
  • Behavior Management: Assist in managing disruptive behavior and implementing disciplinary measures as per school policies.
What we require from our science graduate teaching assistant;

  • Any science degree (biology, chemistry, physics) or related at any grade/ to be graduating this year
  • A DBS on the update service (desired)
  • An inspiring and motivational personality
  • Experience working with children of any age
  • Great communication skills
