Your contractual location will be our head office in Swindon and there will be an expectation for you to attend the office. However, there is flexibility on where you are based at other times. You will be required to work at a National Trust location for 40-60% of your working week. This will be discussed in more detail at interview.

What you'll be doing

Joining us as an IT Engineer, you'll assist in the technical requirement, design, implementation and support of new systems and services, whilst keeping our charitable cause front of mind. In addition, you will be responsible for assisting the technical lead in documenting the High-Level Design and technical requirements for internal and external stakeholders.

As a technical role model and a valued voice across the Trust; people will look to you for technology expertise and innovative solutions. You'll manage change, establishing best practice, keeping communication levels high and making sure people feel motivated and inspired.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to adjust your approach for non-technical audiences
  • Proven ability to lead and drive change projects throughout the organisation including formal tracking and reporting
  • Strong knowledge of the Microsoft 365 administrative suite and Microsoft Exchange Online
  • Administrative knowledge of SharePoint Online, particularly around SharePoint Modern sites as well as collaboration tools, including Cisco Webex
  • Good understanding of user Identity and Access Management
  • Experience in preparing technical solutions options and design documentation
