Mahogany Strides Care Services are currently recruiting support workers wishing to work towards gaining their NVQ/QCF level 3


Or experienced NVQ/QCF Level 3 qualified Children's Residential Support Workers for our two-bedroom therapeutic children's home in Kidderminster that specialises in caring for Children and Young People, aged between 8 -17.


As part of the time, you will receive clinical supervision, training and play an instrumental part in making a positive difference to vulnerable children and young people in our care.


Requirements and Duties for a Children's Residential Support Worker:

  • Must be willing to work towards Level 3 Diploma (NVQ) for Residential Childcare (England), Level 3 Children and Young People Workforce or an equivalent
- have a Level 3 Diploma (NVQ) for Residential Childcare (England), Level 3 Children and Young People Workforce or an equivalent qualification.

  • A minimum of 2 years working with children in care is preferred, but not essential as training will be provided.
  • Willingness to develop clinical practice skills
  • Administrative work and record keeping associated with the running of an Ofsted Registered Children's Home.
  • Key Work Responsibilities.
  • Promoting and Encouraging children and young people to achieve their goals.
  • Involved in a variety of fun activities, swimming, cinema, holidays, outdoors, ballet, football etc.
  • Maintain effective communication and consult with service users and professionals whilst respecting appropriate confidentiality.

Job Types:

Part-time hours: 35 per week

Salary:
From £11.00 per hour
