The job


Your role will be to assist in the operation of an effective and high-quality Building Control service, ensuring that statutory requirements are fulfilled.


Your duties will range from plan checking to site inspection and we will need you to travel around the urban and rural areas of North Lincolnshire to undertake this key role.


Applications will be welcomed from experienced and new practitioners. Starting grade depends on experience and qualifications. To be successful, you will hold the following qualifications

  • Level 6 Building Control degree or equivalent
  • Can demonstrate continuous professional development
  • Detailed knowledge of the relevant legislation
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Evidence of continuous professional development
  • Ability to prioritise and experience of risk assessing
  • IT literate

The part time post is being offered as 22 hours per week / Career Grade 7/8 £16,869 to £22,155 per year plus 10% salary supplement. Please note interviews are scheduled to be held on Wednesday 19 July.
