This is managed alongside a diverse range of activity within Beith and the Garnock Valley, including community programmes, personal development and coaching, events and festivals, employability programmes, informal and formal learning opportunities.

Major Tasks and Job Activities

• Maintaining, organising and ordering stock and resources, cleaning materials and equipment
• Internal & external painting, decorating and refresh of accommodation properties as advised by centre manager
• Undertake / manage small reactive repair and maintenance works
• Undertake regular inspections and identify and plan refresh, repair and maintenance requirements.
• Ensure accommmodation decor is of a high standard
• Porter duties e.g., moving furniture and equipment, dealing with deliveries of goods, setting up/ taking down for meetings, concerts, events etc

Health & Safety

• To carry out risk assessment of proposed work as and when required

General Responsibilities

• Comply with health and safety policies, legislation and procedures at all time.
• Be aware of and comply with policies and procedures relating to child protection, health, safety and security and confidentiality, reporting all concerns to an appropriate person.
• Contribute to the overall ethos, work and aims of the Trust.
• Participate in training and other learning activities and performance development as required.
• Treat all users of the Trust with courtesy and consideration, presenting a positive personal image and contributing to a welcoming environment which supports equal opportunities.

Other

To undertake other duties as required by the Centre Manager that are commensurate with the grade and purpose of the job.

The Role

Title:
Painter & Decorator

Hours: 21 hours per week over 7 days

Salary:
£12.50 per hour

You will reports directly to the Center Manager and will be responsible for providing support to ensure all accommodation is refreshed, painted and decorated in an efficient and timely manner with a high standard of workmanship

The post holder will ensure that Beith Trust accommodation units and surrounding areas are clean, safe and welcoming and fit for the purposes they are being used for.

Generic and role specific training will be provided

Beith Trust operates an extensive range of building and services including football pitches, grass and synthetic, accommodation units for holiday and business, events and festivals and hall hire.

Our services operate 7 days a week and 50 weeks of the year. At busy times staff are required to work shifts.

Your work will ensure that Beith Trust accommodation units are offered in the best to our customers in the best possible condition, and are clean, safe and fit for the purposes they are being used for. You will, at times work with others with a diverse range of skills and abilities, including volunteers, trainees and apprentices.

Customer service and customer experience is at the heart of the work. You will be required, at times, to work weekends and evenings.
