Backshift Foreman

• Control and organise the depot workshop workload and liaise with internal contacts on Engineering related operational matters.
• Maintain Lothian Buses vehicle standards
• Inspecting and auditing workmanship by carrying out regular quality audits on both Lothian and contractual staff
• Ensure all aspects of health, safety and environmental arrangements are adhered to
• Ensure high standards of housekeeping is maintained including vehicle cleaning
• Carry out final preparation MOT checks
• Support the Depot Engineer in ensuring the depot workshop operates within budget
• Produce reports
• Ensure that vehicle availability is such that PVR is achieved at all times

• You must possess the appropriate NVQ/SVQ level 3 Engineering qualification
• Have a track record in technical skill and people management
• Demonstrate excellent leadership and communication skills
• Have an in depth knowledge of DVSA and PSV standards and current HSE legislation

• An annual salary of £51,648 once qualified
