- ESO is expanding its security team and currently seeking a talented Security Risk and Compliance Manager to join their dynamic team.
- This role involves leading a technology risk and compliance function, providing guidance to promote a proactive risk and compliance culture across the organization.
- The position can be based in Wokingham or Warwick, with the option of hybrid working from both the office and home.
- As Great Britain's electricity system operator, ESO plays a crucial role in balancing electricity supply and demand with exceptional engineering and commercial expertise.
- Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive technology risk management framework to monitor risks continuously and work closely with the threat intelligence team to identify and respond to emerging threats proactively.
- Establish a risk assessment program and methodology to manage technology risks impacting the business, and ensure compliance with security aspects of laws, regulations, and industry standards.
**Responsibilities:**
- Monitor and analyze risk data and trends to identify areas for improvement.
- Work with the Security Governance team to ensure policies and standards address relevant risk and compliance requirements.
- Develop and maintain technology compliance, oversee inspections and audits, and manage vendor security risks.
- Lead all aspects of technology compliance and ensure deployments of security measures to minimize third-party risk.
- Own the management of vendor security risks and mature third-party security risk management capabilities.
- Provide executive-level reporting for Digital, Data, and Technology risk and compliance.
**Requirements:**
- Proven experience in information security, compliance, and risk management.
- Extensive experience in developing risk management frameworks and statutory risk reporting.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to engage effectively in risk and compliance activities.
- Previous experience in security risk/compliance within critical infrastructure or a similar sector.
- Degree level qualification with a background in Risk and Compliance.
- Professional security qualifications/certifications are desirable.
- Competitive salary ranging from £65,000 to £80,000, depending on experience.
