Description:
We're seeking an experienced cook to join St David's Hospice. This role operates on a bank basis, meaning you'll be contacted as needed to cover holidays and sickness.
About us:
St David's Hospice is a local charity providing hospice care to adult patients across Conwy, Gwynedd and Anglesey.
Currently, we have three clinical sites, and a Hospice at Home service, and our café and 15 retail outlets across North West Wales play an important role in supporting our services.
Integrity and care are at the heart of our culture and will be centric to the role.Responsibilities:
As a key member of the Catering Team, you will provide cover as required and be responsible for planning, preparing, and cooking food items to ensure the highest quality service and experience to St Davids Hospice patients, staff, Café Dewi and volunteers.
We are looking for someone who will:
- Have understanding and knowledge relevant to the role
- Have excellent team working skills, whilst also having the ability to work independently
- Be enthusiastic and friendly
- Develop and maintain knowledge and skills relevant to the role
- Embrace change, our vision and values.
To do the role you'll need:
- Experience in a similar role
Food hygiene level
- Food allergens awareness
- Be willing to work weekends and evenings as required by the role
- Empathy for the Hospice, and alignment with the charity's values.
