Hours of Work: 5 days per week. 9am until 6:30pm with 30 minutes lunch and 2 x 10-minute breaks. Ideally 1:2 Saturdays 9am until 5pm (with a day off in lieu).

We are working in partnership with a modern first opinion small animal practice. They pride themselves on having a multicultural team with a breadth of experience. They perform a range of procedures from neutering and dental work to BOAS and orthopaedics. Their dedicated teamwork in harmony with each other which is very important to them. Practices are equipped with all the latest gadgets, and they love to invest in new technologies.

The Role

As a Veterinary Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for all of their clients.

You will play a vital role in ensuring the front of house is maintained and give all clients a 5* experience.


Day to day responsibilities:

  • Taking calls to register, book and confirm appointments.
  • Answer client enquiries via telephone, email and in person.
  • Taking payments and ensuring accounts are settled.
  • Emailing clients with reminders and offers.
  • Creating social media content.
  • Preparing consent forms and vaccination cards.
  • Submitting insurances for the clients.
  • Ad hoc administrative duties.
  • Keeping front of house clean and tidy.

To be successful in this role:

  • Excellent level of English.
  • Good understanding of Microsoft office.
  • Confident in customer interaction (including handling complaints).
  • Good time keeping.
  • Quick learning.
  • Dedicated to the role and provided 5 customer service.
