Description

Woodlands Nursery School is based in Meadowfield, Durham, and has reopened under experienced, new ownership and new management.

We now have an exciting opportunity as we look to expand our team and recruit kind, caring and enthusiastic new apprentices.

There's lots of experience to be gained at Woodlands, as your duties as an apprentice will include:
Meeting the physical care needs of children aged 0 - 5 years (nappy changing, toilet training, skin care, feeding, hygiene routines etc.)

Preparing nutritional, well-balanced meals for children.

Supporting children's early development across the seven areas of learning.

Supporting children with a range of Special Educational Needs.

Promoting British Values, Inclusion and Equality within the setting.

Recording observations of children and tracking their development.

Record keeping (daily registers, meal/sleep/nappy records, accidents, and illnesses)

Developing positive working relationships with parents and outside agencies.

Risk assessing to create a safe environment for children and staff.

Entry requirements

Essential - 4 or C in Maths and English

Functional Skills can be offered alongside Apprenticeship

Training to be provided

Upon completion you will receive a qualification in Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship Early Years Educator.

Things to consider

Must be able to travel to New College Durham one day per week for college release day.
