Here's a fantastic opportunity in Chelmsford for a CNC Milling Setter/Operator at a well-established manufacturer of high-precision mechanical components and electromechanical assemblies catering to diverse industries like Motorsport, Rail, Scientific, and Medical.

As a result of recent machinery upgrades and a surge in orders, our client is on the lookout for a CNC Turner programmer/setter to join their dynamic manufacturing team.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Utilizing various measuring equipment like Verniers, Micrometers, Height gauge, Shadowgraph, etc., to ensure parts meet customer standards.
  • Programming and setting Lathes efficiently from drawings or cad files while meeting customer requirements.
  • Optimizing the machining process for older production parts.
  • Upholding cleanliness and housekeeping standards.
  • Ensuring work is completed according to the production plan.

Who We're Looking For:
* A professional with a minimum of 3 years of programming experience.
  • Proficiency in 5-axis live tooling.
  • Skilled in setting various lathes.
  • Capable of first off, self-inspection, and final inspection.
  • Experience in machining a variety of materials.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of Fanuc programming, including live tooling.

Additional Skills That Would Be a Plus:
  • Siemens 840D experience (training available).
  • Cam programming proficiency.
  • Knowledge of twin spindle machining.
  • Background in Aerospace.
  • Completed an apprenticeship.
