We are excited to announce a new opportunity with Skanska, a renowned project development and construction company, recognized for its commitment to sustainable business practices and contributing to the betterment of society.


We are currently seeking an Environmental Sustainability Manager to join our Infrastructure team based in Birmingham with responsibilities also extending to the A47 project in Norwich. Flexibility in travel is a must for this role.



What you'll do:
  • Implement excellent environmental management practices on highway projects
  • Identify, assess, and communicate environmental risks and opportunities
  • Manage a team of environmental specialists, consultants, and suppliers to create environmental management plans
  • Collaborate with customers and Scheme Delivery Partners to enhance environmental management systems and share best practices
  • Support the Infrastructure Lead Environmental Sustainability Manager in implementing best practice initiatives and improvement projects


What we are looking for:
  • Degree in Environmental Studies or related field
  • Substantial experience in the construction industry or relevant environmental sector
  • Demonstrated track record in environmental management for major construction projects, particularly during the planning stages
  • Membership with IEMA or equivalent professional body
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel regionally for projects/contracts
