Theatre Rostering Administrator

An exciting opportunity has arisen for two band 3 Theatre Rostering Administrators to support the Theatres team at University Hospital Southampton.

The post holder will create, maintain and update rosters that support the local rostering policies and ways of working.

ABOUT THE TEAM
You will be an intrinsic member of the Theatres Administrative team.

You would be joining a small and friendly team of four admin staff who work closely with Theatre Team Leaders and Business Managers.


Other key working relationships will be with all Theatre Staff, Theatre Team Leaders, Theatre Matrons, Consultants, Junior Medical Staff, Ward/Unit/Department Managers, other Nursing staff, internal and external hospital departments.

Your Responsibilities

What you'll do

  • The post holder will create, maintain and update rosters that support the local rostering policies and ways of working
  • The post holder will seek to cover all gaps and take appropriate steps to fill gaps in roster escalating when a gap remains unfilled.
  • To be responsible for the daily identification of duty rota amendments and subsequent followup of any corrective changes.
  • To be responsible for the production and delivery of the duty rotas working with designated clinicians to achieve this.

  • You will need problem solving and analytical skills to format complex roster patterns.
  • You will need to be able to work independently, have strong time and organisation skills and good communication
  • The confidence for close working on a daily basis with staff of all levels, including patients and senior clinicians
