Welcome to the world of Maintenance Engineering at our client, a leading manufacturing company based in Cramlington

The team is looking for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join their crew and keep things up and running smoothly.


In this role, you'll be the go-to person for maintenance cover, making sure that the production departments, plant machinery, and site facilities are in tip-top shape and that any breakdowns are sorted out promptly.


PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Health, Safety, and Environment - Actively support OHSE requirements
  • Housekeeping - Maintain cleanliness and safety standards
  • Preventive maintenance - Keep machinery running smoothly
  • Reactive maintenance - Deal with breakdowns and electrical faults
  • Site projects - Get involved in making improvements
  • Quality systems - Operate within prescribed standards
  • Flexibility - Be adaptable and open to change
  • Continuous Improvement - Engage in personal and site-wide development
  • Training - Support the growth of new team members
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
  • Formal Qualifications and Experience
    • Recognised apprenticeship
    • 18th Edition wiring regulations
    • Production environment experience
    • Operate MEWP
    • PASMA trained
    • Working at height experience
  • Specific Skills and Abilities
    • AC/DC motors and drives knowledge
    • PLC knowledge
    • Pneumatic and hydraulic systems understanding
    • Computer literacy
    • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
    • Good communication and time management
    • Team player with good man management
    • Deadline-oriented and relationship builder
    • Self-motivated and dynamic
    • Adaptable and pragmatic

This challenging role operates on a 2-shift basis, from 6 am to 2 pm and 2 pm to 10 pm. Are you up for the challenge?
