General Production Operative

Storth Ltd is a long established and reputable family-owned company manufacturing Slurry Handling equipment for the Agricultural sector. Founded in 1999 our product range has expanded vastly selling our products in the UK as well as worldwide.

Storth is looking to recruit a General Production Operative. Jobs will vary from day to day depending on work requirements across the factory.

Roles will include but are not limited to, operating Machinery to prepare steel for fabrication, using Metal Bandsaws, Punches, Pillar Drills and Basic CNC Equipment, helping out with packing when required, demonstrating the safe use of this equipment and hand tools is vital.

Working to a production plan with deadlines.

Skills:

  • Experience of using Band Saws and other machinery a benefit but not essential as training will be given.
  • Being able to use own initiative
  • Capable and proficient in the use of hand tools
  • Experience in the use of Overhead Crane & Slinging an advantage (training will be given)
  • Forklift driving (training will be given)
  • Manual Handling & Lifting
  • Good housekeeping skills in the workshop and yard areas
  • Good communication skills to be able to liaise with different inhouse departments

Hours Of Work

  • Monday
  • Thursday 8:
  • Friday 8:00 15:00
  • Overtime is available and paid at time and a half
  • 30 Minutes (unpaid) lunch break
  • 2 x 15 minute breaks
