Salary: Up to £50,000 + Benefits


MERJE is currently looking for an experienced FCA Compliance Officer to join a financial services company in Manchester. This role is on a fixed term contract for 12 months.

The chosen candidate will be in charge of making sure the company stays compliant with FCA regulations and establishing the company's FCA compliance and risk management framework. They will need to stay informed about both current and future regulatory trends, carrying out horizon scanning to identify, suggest, and implement any necessary changes based on regulatory shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant FCA regulations utilizing regulatory expertise.
  • Conduct horizon scanning activities.
  • Develop and update internal policies/processes/procedures to ensure compliance with regulations, including documenting any changes due to updates in regulations.
  • Offer timely regulatory advice to support key business objectives.
  • Prepare and deliver reports, presentations, and updates to senior management and regulatory bodies.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience in an FCA compliance role.
  • Thorough knowledge of the UK regulatory framework in financial services, especially the insurance sector.
  • Relevant experience in a dynamic, fast-paced organization.
  • Commercial acumen and the ability to balance business priorities with regulatory demands.
  • Experience in performing compliance and risk analysis, and effectively resolving identified issues.

This role offers a highly flexible work schedule with 2 days in the office (Greater Manchester) and 3 days remotely. The salary offered will be based on the candidate's experience.
