Heywood, Manchester, United Kingdom Inspired Lighting Full time
We are a family run business based in Heywood and are looking for someone to work with us and be trained up as follows:

  • To work with the sales team
  • to learn the bespoke computer system and product ranges, input orders and deal with queries from customers both on the phone and online, inputting stock locations so
    computer experience is essential.
**To work with product development
- **again will be dealing with our range of products and learning to understand about the light fittings, shades and matching wall, table and floor lamps. Understanding the different types of lights so someone with a bit of electrical interest / experience would be ideal.

Assisting with showroom visits:

- our customers often visit our showrooms and we ensure that everywhere is clean and tidy so an occassional dust/hoover/tidy round will be required. Making drinks and escorting the customer to our showrooms and assisting with preparing food if required (Don't worry - no cooking ). Shadowing our sales representatives to gain a better product insight.

Basic office duties within the sales team:

  • filing, photocopying, laminating, shredding etc

Assisting the Managing Director and PA with research for new products or any ad-hoc duties

Assisting our merchandiser - in the showroom to "dress" fittings such as chadeliers that require crystals to be added or inserting new light bulbs

Assisting our Electrical Engineer - processing returns and being shown how to test for faults and potentially basic repair (New plug/fuse/bulb)

As you can see, this is a very varied role and we require someone that is willing to work towards being proficient in all most of the above and with a good work ethic and someone who wants to learn and be as passionate about our products as we are.

This could lead to a career in any of the above so is a good stepping stone.

This role would be ideal for a school/college leaver.
