About the role


Here at QinetiQ we have an exciting opportunity for a Risk Practitioner to join our team and be responsible for implementing and embedding appropriate risk management approaches for our clients and ensuring risk management information is well documented, maintained and reported in line with requirements.

What will I be doing?


As the Risk Practitioner you will work as part of a large, complex and diverse programme, you will work closely with a range staff at different levels to identify, develop and deliver appropriate management information and processes.

This role is key to helping identify, drive and embed risk management improvements as well as assisting with the preparation of information to support complex decision making and client reporting.

This role will support the upskilling of project staff, both through organised training and at-desk support.

What do I need?

Key Capabilities/Knowledge:

Experience in developing robust risk registers and mitigation plans.

Experience in working collaboratively within multi-disciplinary teams.

An interest in developing expertise in quantitative risk models and analysis techniques.

An interest in the implementation of risk management across the lifecycle.

A willingness to support and facilitate discussions, including workshop facilitation.

Experience in supporting other Project Controls disciplines (scheduling, reporting etc).

A good awareness of National Security, Defence and the Armed Forces.

Experience & Qualifications:

Proven track record of working effectively within multi-disciplinary teams and building strong working relationship with team members.

Proven track record of maintaining and reporting on risk information.

Experience in developing Risk Management Plans (RMPs) and processes.

Experience in working within the Defence Sector.

Awareness of Quantitative Risk Assessment (QRA) techniques.

Be working towards membership of a recognised professional institution.
