Our friendly team at Meallmore are looking for a Maintenance person to join them in Belleaire House Care Home.

Overlooking the picturesque town of Greenock and River Clyde beyond, Belleaire House is set within an impressive Victorian Mansion, only 40 minutes from Glasgow.


Our purpose-built care home provides high quality, personalised nursing care for older people, including those living with dementia and its related conditions.


Your role as Maintenance person at Meallmore will include:

  • Regular checks on Fire Alarm systems, fire doors and organisation of quarterly Fire Drills
  • Daily checks of all maintenance books to identify repair/general maintenance required within the various areas of the establishment(s)
  • To maintain garden areas, driveways and paths in a neat and orderly fashion at all times
  • To work out with normal hours if requested by Manager
  • To carry out regular scheduled maintenance checks/check lists and effect repairs

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Having a sound knowledge of all aspects of Health & safety regulations
  • PAT testing qualification preferred but not essential
  • Good English language communication skills in order to fully comprehend job assignments, read and understand manufacturer instructions in preparing and mixing paint or masonry products, and adhere to safety warnings.
  • A full UK driving licence is essential.
